Rabenland Prototype - 2D Action Platformer - Solo dev project
Is the prototype for a 2D action platformer about a monster hunter in a dark and grim world. It combines an unique aiming mechanic and environmental traps to make combat clever and exciting at the same time. Thinking and fast reactions are both rewarded through the levels design and the game mechanics.

Mine Entrance - Singleplayer First Person Shooter - Half-Life 2 Map
Mine Entrance was my first Map for Half-Life 2, the main goal was to teach myself the basics of the engine by scripting events while also creating a fun experience for people who like Half-Life 2.

The Climb Home - 2D Puzzle Platformer - LudumDare 46 game
Is a short 2D puzzle platformer made for the Ludum Dare 46 in 72 hours by me and one friend. My main responsibility was level design, from paper planning to implementing into unity including functionality, art, lighting and testing it.
Besides a good difficulty and learning curve to ensure every player stays engaged, I also focused to support the narrative of the game through level design.

TobiasBrunner.jpeg

Tobias Brunner, Level Designer, and enthusiast for life itself. I love cats, cooking and of course all sorts of games. The main reason why I love video games is their immersion, they allow oneself to become someone completely different in a new world. I can be a war strategist, a survivor of the apocalypse or an adventurer in a fantasy world. Whatever I want to be, games can give me the illusion of being there and I think that is their beauty.
